The Millikin women's volleyball team completed play at the Puget Sound Premier, playing against Pacific Lutheran University and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on September 1.

The Big Blue dropped their first match of the day against the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran in three (22-25, 8-25, 23-25).

Junior Rose Syversen led the team in assists with 24 and added three service aces. Sophomore Alyssa Vignos was the Big Blue's leader in digs with 14, and sophomore Gabrielle Coulthard and junior Marissa McElroy each had nine kills.

In their second match of the day, the Big Blue matched up against the Titans of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Millikin won the first set 25-22 before dropping the final three sets, 25-15, 25-22, 27-25.

Against the Titans, Syversen again led the team in assists with 38, and McElroy was the leader in kills with 13. Coulthard and senior Emily Seegmiller each added 11. Freshman Lauren Brummel and Vignos served four aces apiece.  Brummel, Coulthard and McElroy were named to the All Puget Sound Premiere Team.  

The Big Blue finished the tournament with a 2-2 record. They will return to action on Saturday, September 8 at the Central/Grinnell Invitational in Iowa against Bethany College and Coe College.
