ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Women's Volleyball traveled north to Rock Island Friday evening for a CCIW conference matchup against Augustana College. Winning their fourth straight contest, the Big Blue improve to 11-8 on the season, going 4-1 in conference play. 

The first set of the match would see the Augustana stay within a point of the Big Blue for 12 plays before Millikin ended the set with a 28-26 final score. The second set of the match would see another close final score. After being down almost the entirety of the match, Millikin would overcome a 23-21 deficit to win the match with a final score of 25-23. The final set of the night saw Millikin win by their largest score differential, scoring in seven of the last eight plays in the set to win 25-19, ending the match with a score of 3-0 in favor of the Big Blue. 

Leading the Big Blue in kills tonight were seniors Marissa McElroy and Marie Gerbasi, who had 13 and nine kills on the night, respectively. McElroy currently leads the team in kills with 211 on the season. Tying McElroy for most kills in the match was Augustana's Grace Bialobok, who also had 13 kills in the match for the Vikings. 

Millikin stays on the road this weekend as they participate in the Dig Panici Classic hosted by University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. The Big Blue will face UW - Stevens Point at 12:30 PM and UW - Lacrosse at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 11.
