ELMHURST, Ill. - Millikin Women's Volleyball was on the road Wednesday night as they faced the Elmhurst College Bluejays in a CCIW conference matchup. The Big Blue would win the match with a 3-1 final score, seeing their conference record improve to 5-1. Millikin sits at second place in the CCIW with two conference matches left against North Park University, who are currently 0-4, and first place Carthage College, who are undefeated at 6-0.
Millikin would get off to a good start in the first set, taking a 25-23 win from the Blue Jays. In the next set, Elmhurst would equalize the match, beating Millikin 25-18. The third set would see the Big Blue nab a huge win, holding Elmhurst to just 12 points, winning with a final score of 25-12. Millikin would go on six multi-point scoring runs in the second set to solidify the win. The Big Blue would end the match in the fourth set, closing the door on Elmhurst with a 25-22 final score.
Sophomore
Lauren Brummel led the match with a season-high 18 kills for the Big Blue, with CCIW Player of the Week
Marissa McElroy posting 16 of her own, the second-most in the match. On defense, McElroy tied Elmhurst's Emily Duis for most blocks in the match with four on the night, while Elmhurst's Emily Finkbeiner led the match in digs with 21. Senior

Julianna Vassallo led the Big Blue in digs, recording 18 a piece, a season-high for Harris.
