ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Millikin Men's and Women's Swimming opened up their regular seasons Saturday afternoon at Augustana College as they competed in a double dual with Augustana and Knox College.

In team scoring for the men's side, Millikin would defeat Knox College 146.00 to 26.00. The Big Blue would be beaten by Augustana with a final score of 138.00 to 65.00 in favor of the Vikings. 

The women's swimming team would edge Knox College in their dual with a score of 158.00 to 49.00 and would fall to Augustana 128.00 to 84.00. 

Millikin would win the Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay, with Olivia Marquardt, Laura Atkinson, Brigid Duesterhaus and Kaitlin Yelaska finishing at 1:55.60, 3.07 seconds ahead of Augustana College. 

Freshman Sean Griffin would win the Men's 1000 Yard Freestyle, recording a 10:59.07 final time, with Augustana's Connor Bullard coming in second with a time of 11:15.11. 

Also recording wins today were Brigid Duesterhaus in the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Freestyle, Felix Archer in the Men's 200 Yard IM and 100 Yard Backstroke, and Olivia Marquardt in the Women's 100 Yard Butterfly.

The Big Blue will return home on November 9 at 1:00 PM as they host Carroll University in a home dual meet at the Decatur Family YMCA.
