Big Blue Men’s Basketball Loses at Rhodes

        The Millikin men's basketball team lost at Rhodes College 85-70 in the Tipoff Classic in Memphis, Tennessee on November 16.
        Rhodes led 39-35 at halftime and pulled away shooting 56 percent in the second half including making 5-10 from three-point range.  Millikin shot
40 percent from the field in the game with Rhodes hitting on 52.5 percent of its shots.  Millikin dominated the rebounding battle 45-28.
        Guard Troy Burrows led Millikin with 13 points and six rebounds.  Freshman Sam Stichnote had 12 points and a team high seven rebounds.  Jake Hampton added 11 points.
        Rhodes got 13 points each from Preston Giroux and Jalen Essick.
        Millikin will face LeTourneau University on Sunday at 2 p.m.
