Millikin Men’s Basketball Falls Short in Memphis

        The Millikin men's basketball team lost to LeTourneau University 64-62 at the Rhodes College Tipoff Tournament in Memphis, Tennessee on November 17.
        Millikin lead the game 30-29 at the half.  The game featured 12 lead changes and six ties.  LeTourneau built a lead late in the second half and were up eight with 3:26 remaining.  The Big Blue fought till the end with Troy Burrows hitting a three-pointer at the buzzer to pull Millikin to within two points.
        Millikin won the rebounding battle 51-46.  The Big Blue hit on 32 percent from the field (22-68) while LeTourneau shot 34 percent (23-67).  LeTourneau hit on 5-10 from the three-point range in the second half.
        Freshman Sam Stichnote led Millikin with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Burrows had 11 points and six rebounds. Jake Hampton added 10 points.
        Brick Fosnight led LeTourneau with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
        Millikin returns home to host Coe College on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m.
