Fisher Brothers Lead Millikin Past Blackburn

        The Millikin men's basketball team won a non-conference road contest at Blackburn College 71-60 on December 9 in Carlinville, Illinois.
        Senior Zach Fisher and his brother sophomore Calvin Fisher combined for 55 points to lead the Big Blue to the victory.  Zach Fisher had 32 points and five rebounds while Calvin Fisher added 23 points, nine rebounds and two assists.
        Millikin trailed 33-31 at halftime, but used an 18-6 run over the first 10 minutes of the second half to open up a 10 point advantage.
        Millikin shot 48 percent (24-50) from the field and went 12-21 (57 percent) from three-point range.  Blackburn shot 39 percent (22-58) from the field making 10-27 from three-point range.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 39-24.
        Karson Hayes led Blackburn with 19 points.
        Millikin is now 2-8 while Blackburn goes to 2-5.
