Millikin Women’s Basketball Loses to #21 Wheaton

         The Millikin women's basketball team lost to #21 and conference champion Wheaton College 83-56 on February 14 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
         Millikin stayed with the Thunder in a sloppy first half that saw the teams combine for 19 turnovers. Wheaton held a 38-35 lead at halftime.
The Thunder blew the game open in the third quarter outscoring the Big Blue 25-11. 
         Millikin shot 32 percent from the field (22-68) and went 5-19 (26 percent) from three-point range. Wheaton shot 60 percent (32-53) from the field and made 8-16 from beyond the arc. Millikin won the rebounding battle 39-34.
         Briana Anthony and Aubrey Staton lead Millikin with 13 points each. Yanni Saddler finished with 10.
         Hannah Frazier led Wheaton with 22 points.
         Millikin is now 8-16, 4-11 while Wheaton improved to 20-4, 15-1.
         Millikin will close out the season on Saturday, Feb. 16 hosting North Park University at 5 p.m.
