Millikin Women’s Basketball Falls to Titans

         The Millikin women's basketball team lost at #18 Illinois Wesleyan University 80-54 on February 6 at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
         The Titans lead the entire game including holding at 41-27 advantage at the half. Millikin shot only 37.5 percent from the field while Illinois Wesleyan made 54.5 percent of its shots. The Titans won the rebounding battle 38-26. Millikin committed 24 turnovers compared to 15 for Illinois Wesleyan.
         The Big Blue's top scorer was Briana Anthony with 16 points and three assists. Aubrey Staton scored 15 points and pulled down five rebounds.
         Maddie Merritt led the Titans with 20 points followed by Kendall Sosa with 14.
         Millikin falls to 8-14, 4-9 while Illinois Wesleyan improves to 18-4, 11-2.
         The Big Blue travel to Augustana College on February 9.
