Big Blue Men’s Basketball Falls at #4 Augustana

         The Millikin men's basketball team lost at fourth ranked Augustana College 78-56 on February 9 in Rock Island, Illinois. The victory gives the Vikings the 2019 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) regular season title.
         The game was all Vikings with Augustana leading the entire game. The Vikings lead 44-22 at halftime. Millikin shot 38.5 percent from the field, but struggled from three-point range going 2-9. The Vikings hits on 46 percent from the field and went 10-25 from beyond the arc. Millikin won the rebounding battle 38-33.
         Senior DaVante Harrell led Millikin with 12 points. Jordan Cunningham had a game high 12 rebounds along with six points.
         The Vikings had five players score in double figures led by Chrishawn Orange with 12 and Brett Benning with 11.
         Millikin falls to 10-12, 4-10 while the Vikings improve to 22-2, 14-1.
         Millikin will travel to Wheaton College on February 13 before closing out the season by hosting North Park on February 16.
