Millikin Softball Returns to Action with Win

         After having four games rained out at the Tucson Softball Invitational, the Millikin softball team returned to action scoring a 5-2 win over St. Mary's College on March 14 in Tucson, Arizona.
         The Big Blue scored three runs in the third inning and two runs in the fourth. Taylor Jordan drove home Millikin's first run with a double. Later in the inning Maggie Comerford drove home two with a double. Bailey Gowin's two run single drove home the Big Blue runs in the fourth. Comerford, Kalli Farmer and Kelsey Farmer each had two hits for Millikin.
         Rachel Patting was the winning pitcher throwing four innings allowing six innings and one unearned run. Aly Armstrong picked up the three inning save allowing three hits and one run.
         Molly Mirabelli went 3-4 to lead the St. Mary's attack.
         Millikin is now 5-2 and will play three games in Arizona on Friday.
