Millikin Rolls Past Panthers

         The Millikin baseball team picked up a 17-4 non-conference win at Greenville University in Greenville, Illinois on April 23.
         The Big Blue scored two runs in the first inning and then broke open the game with a seven run second inning.
         Millikin pounded out 17 hits with Andrew Auton, Mason Bruce and Gabe Soria each picking up three hits. Auton had two RBI. Luke Azzarelli and Jon Walters each had two hits and two RBI. Brent Beals had three RBI and Frank Bryan homered to the Big Blue driving home two.
         Logan Talkington picked up the win throwing two hitless innings in relief with five strikeouts. Freshman Austin Hitchcock pitched the final two and two-thirds scoreless innings for Millikin allowing one hit while striking out seven.
         Ryan Taylor had three hits to lead the Panthers.
         Millikin improves to 16-15 and will host Elmhurst College on Wednesday, April 24 at 6 p.m. at Sunnyside Park.
