DECATUR, Ill. - The Millikin University Fall Invitational began Friday afternoon at the Griswold Center in Decatur. Millikin Women's Volleyball faced Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in their first match of the evening, and played the Lady Blues of Illinois College in their second game of the night, winning both of their home-opening regular season matches.
Rose-Hulman would be the Big Blue's first opponent of the tournament, and would win the first set of the match with a final score of 25-15. Millikin would come back in the next three sets to win the match 3-1 (25-12, 25-15, 25-22).

Tori Stuart led the match with 17 kills, bringing her season total to 69. The match also saw Senior setter
Rose Syversen record a season-high 40 assists. Syversen leads the Big Blue with 213 assists thus far in the season.
In the final match of the night, Millikin would face off against Illinois College, who they saw action against in the pre-season. The Big Blue would take at 3-0 win from the Lady Blues with final scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.
Marissa McElroy posted a match-leading 13 kills and three blocks. Last week at the Holiday Inn Classic at Illinois Wesleyan, McElroy was named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Millikin University Fall Classic will resume play Saturday morning at 11:00 AM when Millikin University faces off against Concordia University - Wisconsin.
