DECATUR, Ill. - Millikin University Women's Volleyball hosted CCIW conference rival Illinois Wesleyan University at the Griswold Center Friday night to kick off Homecoming Weekend. The match honored Head Coach Debbie Kiick, who will be inducted into the Millikin University Hall of Fame as the winningest volleyball coach in school history, as well as the only coach in the CCIW to be named Head Coach of the Year in two unrelated sports. 

The first set of the night would see the Titans win after going back and forth the whole set, forcing it into extra points to decide a winner. The Titans would win the first set with a score of 26-24. In the second set of the night, Illinois Wesleyan would hold the Big Blue to 17 points, and would end the match the following set with a final score of 25-22. 

Sophomore Lauren Brummel led the match with 11 kills on the night, while Rose Syversen recorded a match-leading 22 assists. Defensively, the Titans were solid, with Courtney McAulliffe posting four blocks on the Big Blue. 

Millikin will host Coe College on October 4, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.
