Box Score CHICAGO, Ill. - Millikin University Women's Tennis traveled to North Park University Friday for their first CCIW match of the season, beating the Vikings 9-0. Millikin is now 3-1 on the season, going 1-0 in conference play. 

In the first doubles match of the evening, Brianna Barconi and Shelby Jones faced North Park's Linn Viuhkonen and Patrycja Miazek, winning the set with a final score of 8-2. Morgan Bettner and Katie Cooper would face Lisa Viuhkonen and Kendra Belisle, winning their set with a close 8-7 final score. Danielle Beard and Alena Hinch faced Sara Stan and Hannah Rosenbaum in the third doubles match, winning 8-3 to go undefeated in doubles play. 

In singles matches, Morgan Bettner would win two of three sets against Linn Viuhkonen with scores of 1-6, 6-1, 6-4. Shelby Jones faced Lisa Viuhkonen, defeating her in two sets played with final scores of 6-3, 6-2. Freshman Brianna Barconi was up against Patrycja Miazek, and would win her match in two sets with scores of 6-4, 7-5. Danielle Beard would also win her match in two sets, defeating Sara Stan 6-1 and 6-4. Katie Cooper faced Kendra Belisle, beating her 6-1 and 6-4. Sophomore Amber Rezinas was the first to finish her set once again, defeating Cara Cuba with a final scores of 6-2 and 6-3. 

Women's Tennis is on the road again Saturday, facing North Central College in Naperville, Illinois for another CCIW match up.
