BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Millikin Swimming was on the road Friday as they faced Illinois Wesleyan University and North Central College in a double dual hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University. Both men and women's teams would defeat North Central College, but would both fall to Illinois Wesleyan University.

Olivia Marquardt won the women's 100 back finishing in 1:01.11 with Kelli Sangston finishing second with a final time of 1:03.18. Sangston's final time is the ninth all-time in Millikin Swimming history. Felix Archer won the men's 100 yard back, recording a 54.53 final time. Nick Nemeth came in third, finishing in 1:02.37.

In the 100 yard men's breast, David Blanco placed first finishing in 1:03.41.

Brigid Duesterhaus won the 50 yard freestyle with a 25.31 final time with Kelli Sangston finishing third, posting a 26.93 finish. Senior Cole Jones won on the men's side, recording a 22.31 final time.

Duesterhaus also improved her 200 yard backstroke best time, winning the event in 2:18.25, the school's sixth best time. In the men's 200 yard backstroke, Felix Archer won in 2:01.33.

Olivia Marquardt placed second in the women's 100 yard butterfly, losing to Illinois Wesleyan's Ellen Gilbert by a mere 0.42 seconds. Felix Archer also finished second for the men in the 100 yard butterfly behind Illinois Wesleyan's Mason McCauley.

Freshman Fiona Rosko recorded the school's tenth all-time finish in the 200 yard IM with a 2:19.34 final time. Kaitlin Yelaska placed third for the Big Blue, finishing in 2:23.95.
The Big Blue are back in action on Saturday, January 25 as they compete in the Principia College Invite in Elsah, Illinois.
