Big Blue Men Suffer Road Loss

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost at Illinois Wesleyan University 80-71 on January 4 in Bloomington, Illinois.
          Millikin led 42-37 at halftime after shooting 50 percent from the field and going 7-15 from three-point range in the first half.  The Titans got things going in the second half and used a major advantage from the free throw line to pull out the victory. 
          Millikin shot 43 percent (29-67) from the field for the game including going 10-29 (34.5 percent) from three-point range.  The Titans shot 45 percent (27-60) from the field and 7-17 (41 percent) from three-point range.  Illinois Wesleyan was 19-24 from the free throw line thanks to 21 Millikin fouls.  The Big Blue were 3-8 from the line.
The Titans won the rebounding battle 39-38.
          Calvin Fisher led Millikin with 20 points and eight rebounds.  Jake Hampton had 16 points and eight boards.  Zach Fisher had 10 points, six assists and three rebounds.
          Luke Yoder led the Titans with 18 points and six rebounds.  Keondre Schumacher added 12 for Illinois Wesleyan.
          Millikin is now 3-10, 0-4 while Illinois Wesleyan improves to 9-4, 3-1.
