DECATUR, Ill. – Millikin Swimming hosted the Lincoln College Lynx at the Decatur Family YMCA on Saturday as they competed in their final home meet of the 2019-20 season where they honored seniors Cole Jones and Bailee Kralman. Jones, a senior from Moberly, Missouri, is Head Coach Molly Duesterhaus's first four-year swimmer in her time at the helm of the program. Bailee Kralman is a Decatur, Illinois native and graduate of St. Teresa High School who will continue on a nurse after graduation.

Millikin would have first place finishes in 19 of the 22 total events on the day to defeat the Lynx on the men's side 97-44 and 157-24 on the women's side.

Lincoln's Sitivi Sooemlelagi would place first in the men's 100 yard butterfly, finishing in 54.82 seconds with Felix Archer finishing close behind in second with a 56.00 second time. Sooemalelagi would also win the men's 500 yard freestyle and the 50 yard freestyle.

Kelli Sangston, Laura Atkinson, Olivia Marquart and Brigid Duestrehaus would win the 200 medley relay, posting the third-best time in school history with a 1:52.04 final time.

In the men's 100 yard freestyle, freshman Sean Griffin and sophomore Nick Canton miraculously tied for a first place finish, posting 52.53 final times.

Brigid Duesterhaus would win the 100 yard backstroke for the Big Blue finishing in 1:02.46 with Kelli Sangston finishing second in 1:02.88, which replaces her former best time on the top 10 finishes as the ninth-best in school history.

Both men's and women's swimming teams end their regular seasons 4-2 in dual meet competition. The Big Blue will compete next at the CCIW Championships on February 20, 2020 in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
