DECATUR, Ill. - Millikin Men's Volleyball hosted the Loras College Duhawsk at the Griswold Center on Monday, February 24. The Big Blue would be defeated in three sets to bring their record to 1-13 going 0-4 in CCIW conference play. Loras is now 8-4  on the season and 2-1 in CCIW conference play with Monday's victory. 

Millikin's closest game would be the first set, where the final score differential was only four points. The game would tie nine times before Loras would pull away late in the set to win 25-21. 

The next set the Duhawks would hold the Big Blue to just 16 points and would go on seven multi-point scoring runs, with one run seeing Loras score five in a row. The Duhawks would take the second set 25-16. 

Loras continued putting pressure on the Big Blue in the third set, winning 25-17 to close out the match. Loras would go on six multi-point scoring runs, including a three point run to close out the match out the match on a Joe Horn service ace. 

Peter Sailsman continued his impressive season on defense recording a match leading, season high four total blocks at the net. Jose Gallardo led the Big Blue in digs on the night posting eight in the match with Willie Valentine recording seven of his own.

Gallardo also led the charge on offense for Millikin with eights kills in the match, with Peter Sailsman posting five. 

The Big Blue will face Rockford University for the second time this season on February 28 at 7:00 PM in Rockford, Illinois.
