Big Blue Softball Drops Twin Bill

        The Millikin softball team lost a doubleheader to Buena Vista University on March 1 at the Workman Family Softball Field in Decatur, Illinois. The Beavers won game one 10-7 and took the second game 11-4.
        Kalli Farmer, Skielyr Trenkle and Cassie Reed each had two hits for Millikin in game one. Carlee Guyett led Buena Vista going 3-5 with three runs scored and five RBI.
        In game two, Millikin had a 3-1 lead after three innings. Buena Vista added a run in the fourth and broke the game open with a seven run sixth inning. Farmer and Alyssa White each two hits for Millikin in game two.
Guyett had three more runs batted in for Buena Vista and Mckynze Hansen went 2-4 to pace the Beavers offense.
        Millikin is now 0-3 while Buena Vista is 2-3.
        Next up for the Big Blue is a 14 game trip to Florida.
