Millikin Softball Wins Sixth Straight

        The Millikin softball team won two more games in Florida on Monday, March 9 to pushing their win streak at the Spring Games in Clermont, Florida to six straight. The Big Blue downs UMass-Dartmouth 9-1 and Lake Forest College 8-0 both games going only five innings.
        Against UMass Dartmouth, Millikin scored two runs in the second, three in third and four runs in the fifth. Kalli Farmer had a two run double to get Millikin rolling in the second inning. Gretchen Gould doubled and Kaylee Goluch and Skiekly Trenkle each tripled to highlight the Big Blue third inning.
        Farmer was 2-3 with three RBI. Goluch had two hits with two RBI.
        Addison Sargent was the winning pitcher for Millikin.
        Millikin lead Lake Forest 2-0 after two innings and broke open the game with a six run fourth inning.
        Aly Armstrong was the winning pitcher throwing five shutout innings allowing three hits on six strikeouts.
        Farmer had another triple in game two going 2-2 in the game. Grace Biondo and Gould each added two hits in the game.
        Millikin is now 6-3 on the season.
