Millikin Swimmers Return to Pool

The Millikin men's and women's swimming team competed in a virtual meet against Illinois Wesleyan University and North Central on January 30, 2021. The Big Blue turned in its times at the Decatur YMCA while the Titans swam the events at the Shirk Center in Bloomington and the Cardinals hit the water in Naperville.
 
The meet was scored as a double duaul with Milikin defeating North Central in the men's competition 78-36 and the women's competition 214-24.  Against Illinois Wesleyan, the Titans won the men's competition 155-56 and took the women's event 177-94.
 
Millikin had two double event winners with Brigid Duesterhaus winning the Women's 100 Backstroke in 1:02.11 and the Women's 100 Freestyle in 57.21. Freshman Vlad Molin won the Men's 50 Freestyle in 22.21 and had the best time in the 100 Free in 50.17.
 
Other Millikin event winners were Olivia Marquardt in the Women's 100 Butterfly in 1:02.51 and Nick Nemeth in the Men's 200 Breaststroke in 2:23.14.
