Millikin Cross Country Competes at NCAA Regional

The Millikin men's and women's cross country team competed at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional in Rock Island, Illinois on November 13. The Millikin women finished in eighth place out of 24 teams while the Big Blue men were 10th out of 30 teams participating.

Hailey O'Malley was Millikin's top runner in the women's 6K race finishing in 35th place in a time of 22:52.8, which was third fastest in school history. While the official field hasn't been announced yet, it appears O'Malley's finish with be a couple of position short of an individual qualifying spot for the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Sophomore Quincy Collings finished in 40th at 23:01.8, which was seventh fastest all-time for the Big Blue. Alyssa Ruiz turned in Millikin's 10th all-time fastest 6K at 23:27.5 finishing in 53rd place.

Austin Bridgman was the top finisher on the men's side for the Big Blue coming home in 49th place. His time of 25:43.5 was fifth fastest 8K time in school history. Bradyn Olmstead was 55th at 25:52.8, which is ninth fastest in school history. Gabe Bush ran Millikin's 17th best 8K time to finish in 67th at 26:12.9.
