Millikin Cross Country Earns Academic Honors

DECATUR, Illinois—The Millikin men's and women's cross team and graduate student Bradyn Olmstead (Bloomington, H.S.) were honored for their academic excellence with the announcement of the All-Academic Teams and All-Academic Athletes for the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Millikin men's cross country team had a team grade point average of 3.22 the women's team was named an All-Academic Team with a 3.43 team grade point average. To qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

Olmstead, a Masters of Business Administration student, was honored for the fourth straight season.
