Women's Volleyball Takes Down Titans

The Big Blue Women's Volleyball team traveled to Bloomington, Ill. on Wednesday, March 10 to take on the Titans of Illinois Wesleyan University. The Big Blue took down the Titans 3-1. 

Millikin took the first set 25-16. After falling behind 0-2, the Big Blue went on an 8-0 run with Sarah Bingenheimer behind the service line. They went on to drop the second set 20-25. In set three, a kill by Tori Stuart sealed the 25-20 victory for MU. In the tight fourth set, a kill from Jessi Kreder completed a 25-22 win for the Big Blue. 

Millikin was led by Kamryn Flesner with 14 kills, with Stuart adding nine and Lauren Brummel chipping in eight kills. Bingenheimer tallied 36 assists and 3 service aces for the Big Blue. Stuart added 18 digs for MU, and Madison Clarida, Kreder, and Stuart all had four blocks. 

The Big Blue held Wesleyan to a .079 hitting percentage while hitting .123.

Millikin Women's Volleyball improved to 3-0 on the season, and they will match up against another conference foe on Sunday, March 14 at home when they take on the Firebirds of Carthage College.
