Baseball Drops Home Game to Vikings

The Millikin baseball team lost to North Park University 6-1 on April 27 at Workman Family Baseball Field in Decatur. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but was moved up due to forecasts calling for storms.
 
North Park scored a single run in the top of the first and added two more in the fifth inning.  The Vikings put the game out of reach with a three-run seventh inning.
 
Logan Peters went 3-4 for the Vikings and Jake Reinhardt went 2-5 with three RBI.
 
Tommy Shaw went 4-4 for the Big Blue accounting for half of Millikin's eight hits.  Pinch hitter Jacob Havis tripled in the ninth inning and scored Millikin's lone run.
 
Millikin is now 19-9, 12-6 while North Park improved to 14-14, 9-14.
