Big Blue Men’s Soccer Drops Opener

The Millikin men's soccer team lost its 2021 season opener 2-1 at Aurora University on September 1 in Aurora, Illinois.
 
The teams played a scoreless first half with the Big Blue getting on the board in the 51st minute on a goal from Eli McClinton with the assist going to Ludvig Lindmark.
 
The Spartans tied the game at 70:32 when Connor Erickson scored and Anthony Marmolejo scored the game winner for Aurora at 74:48.
 
Millikin will be back in action on Friday, September 3 for its home opener against Benedictine University at 6:30 p.m.
