Women's Track and Field

Track Opens Indoor Season

The Millikin track and field team opened its Indoor season with both the men's and women's teams finishing in fourth place at the Titan First Chance Meet hosted by Illinois Wesleyan on December 10 at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
 
For the Millikin men, Austin Bridgman won the 3000 Meters in 8:53.45, which was the third fastest time in Big Blue history.
 
Big Blue freshman Jake Sarver won the High Jump in 1.95 meters (6-4.75).
 
Caleb Bleich was third in the 300 Meters in 36.36 seconds, which is the second best time in school history. Freshman Dayton Lasack was fourth in 36.49 seconds, which ranks third on the Millikin Indoor Track Top 10 Performance List. Bleich finished in fourth in the Long Jump in 6.43 meters.
 
Emmanuel Nwatu was third in the 60 Meters Hurdles in 8.63 seconds, which was the third best time in school history. Lasack was fourth in 8.65 seconds, Millikin's fourth all-time best time.
 
Kristian Boado finished in third in the Weight Throw in 16.96 meters.
 
Colin Griffin was fourth in the 200 Meters in 22.96 seconds.
 
Cory Celbulski was fourth in the Pole Vault in 3.90 meters (12-9.50).
 
In the women's competition, Millikin took the top two spots in the 600 Meters with Lovenya Perry finishing first at 1:39.93 and Arianna Pruitt-LaFaiver coming in second at 1:42.31.
 
Haylee Yelle finished second in the Pole Vault in 2.86 meters (9-4.50). Audrey Eades was third at 2.71 meters and Madison Jessen was fourth at 2:43 meters. Yelle's vault was the second best in school history.
 
Katie Abell finished in second in the Weight Throw in 14.52 meters (47-7.75).
 
Itzel Garcia finished third in the 200 Meters in 26.69 seconds.
 
Maria Lambert was fourth in the 60 Meters in 8:02 seconds.
