Millikin Men’s Basketball Drops Road Contest

The Millikin men's basketball team lost at Augustana College 68-58 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) action on December 3 in Rock Island, Illinois.
 
The Vikings led 32-21 at halftime and built an 18 point lead in the second half before Millikin fought its way back. The Big Blue outscored the Vikings 37-36 in the second half but couldn't overcome the first half deficit.
 
Millikin shot 35 percent (20-57) from the field and struggled from long range hitting on 2-19 (10.5 percent) from three-point range. The three-pointers proved to be the difference in the game as Augustana hit on 10-27 and shot 24-55 (44 percent) from the field 12overall.
 
Noah Livingston led Millikin with 15 points followed by Drake Stevenson with 10 points and six rebounds. Demarcus Bond had seven points and seven rebounds.
 
Dan Carr led Augustana with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Carr was 7-9 from the field including going 3-3 from three-point range. Chase Larsen added 15 for the Vikings.
