Baseball Winning Streak Snapped at 10 Straight

The Millikin baseball team lost to Coe College 8-7 on March 6 at the Workman Family Baseball Field in Decatur, Illinois snapping the Big Blue's 10 game winning streak. Millikin fell one short of tying the record for consecutive wins at 11 set in 1947.
 
Millikin head a 6-2 lead heading into the eighth inning, but Coe scored four in the eighth to win and two more in the ninth to take the lead.
 
Kelby Golladay led Millikin's offense with two hits including a home run and two RBI. Frank Bryan also had two hits for Millikin.
 
Jacob Brosius led the Coe attack going 4-5 with three runs scored and a stolen base. Creighton Kreshel and TJ Johnson each had two hits for Coe.
 
Millikin is now 10-3 on the season while Coe goes to 2-2.
