Big Blue Softball Regionally Ranked in Initial NCAA Rankings

The NCAA released the first Division III Softball Regional Rankings on Wednesday, April 20, recognizing Millikin as one of 10 teams deserving of a regional ranking in Region VIII.

In the initial release, teams are listed in alphabetical order. Beginning next week, the rankings will be listed in a ranked order. Other College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin teams that were listed in the original list include Illinois Wesleyan and North Central. Both Mount St. Joseph and WashU, who the Big Blue have gone face-to-face with this season, made the Region VIII rankings.

Millikin softball returns to action at the Workman Family Softball Field on Saturday, April 23 for a CCIW doubleheader against Carroll University. At the game, Big Blue Athletics will celebrate the dedication of the Boston Family Terrace in honor of the first softball coach in Millikin history, Bryce Boston.
