Millikin’s CCIW Tournament Run Ends

Box Score The Millikin softball team's 2025 season ended with a 5-0 loss to Augustana College in an elimination game in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Softball Tournament on May 9 in Bloomington, Illinois.
 
Millikin finishes with a 24-15 record while the Vikings advance to Saturday's Championship game against Illinois Wesleyan University.
 
Augustana opened the scoring in the first inning when Aubrey Gradin doubled home a run.
 
In the fifth, Alaina Diaz doubled home two runs in the and Gradin followed with a run scoring single to make it a 4-0 Vikings lead. Emily Gad's RBI single closed out the scoring in the inning.
 
Millikin was held to two hits with Abby Willis and Ava Zukowski each singling.
 
Mikaylin Hofer was the winning pitcher for the Vikings throwing a complete game shutout with six strikeouts.
