Swimming Victorious over North Central and Illinois College

The Big Blue men's and women's swim teams competed in their lone home meet of the 2023-24 season against North Central and Illinois College on Saturday, October 21, winning all four duals.

In the 200 yard medley, the team of Shay Buchanan, Natallie Buchanan, Amanda Fathman, and Layla Walker placed first in a time of 2:07.85. On the men's side, the team of Justin Maniago, Aaron Amaya, Jason Burrow, and Alexander Tabuchi placed second.

Kendall Rossignol won the 200 yard freestyle, and Walker won the 50 yard freestyle race. Aly Barnes took the top slot in the women's 200 yard IM and Dawson Behl won the men's race.

Walker earned her second victory in the 100 yard butterfly, and Fathman was the victor in the 100 yard freestyle. Barnes earned her second individual win in the 100 backstroke, and Behl won the men's race.

Msanaa Bosland won the men's 500 yard freestyle. The Big Blue teams each found themselves at the top of the leaderboard in the 200 yard freestyle, with Rossignol, Grace Meacham, Barnes, and Fathman for the women and Aaron Amaya, Behl, Bosland, and KJ Hamlin for the men.
