Millikin Downs DePauw

The Millikin women's basketball team remained undefeated on the season winning at DePauw University 86-53 to win the Championship of the DePauw Invite on November 18 in Greencastle, Indiana.
 
Millikin scored the games first four points and went on a 9-3 run over the first five minutes of the game. The Big Blue lead 22-10 at the end of the first quarter. The Big Blue lead 41-26 at halftime. Leading 52-35 in the third quarter Millikin went on an 11-0 lead to push the lead to 63-35. The Big Blue lead 65-40 at the end of the third quarter and pushed out a 37 point advantage late in the fourth quarter.
 
Millikin shot 56 percent (33-59) from the field and made 9-16 (53 percent) from three-point range. DePauw was limited to 25 percent (15-61) from the field. DePauw won the rebounding battle 39-37.
 
Millikin's top scorer was Elyce Knudsen with 34 points including going 4-5 from three-point range. Bailey Coffman added 17. Sophie Darden had a double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
 
Tori Allen led DePauw with 14 points.
 
Knudsen was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Coffman. Allen, Riley Mont of DePauw and Emma Witte of Calvin rounded out the All-Tournament selections.
 
Millikin is 4-0 while DePauw goes to 1-2.
