The Big Blue softball team traveled to North Park University on Friday, April 14 for the first doubleheader of their weekend road trip. Millikin downed the Vikings 5-0 in game one before taking game two 3-0.

In game one, Millikin got on the board right away as the visitors on the scoreboard. Leah Foreman laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoing Rylee Blake then Lanie Chizmark crossed the plate on a throwing error by North Park.

In the second, Aundrea Jenkins doubled down the left field line to knock in Lex Tennison, then a Kaylee Goluch sacrifice fly to right center scored Jenkins.

Foreman would hit in Blake once again in the fifth inning to score the Big Blue's fifth run with an RBI single down the left field line.

Aly Armstrong picked up the game one win in the circle to move to 9-2 on the season, striking out nine hitters while allowing just four hits through her complete game shutout.

In game two, the Big Blue started the scoring in the second inning when Tennison singled up the middle to score pinch runner Chloe Book. A Jenkins sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth scored Kendallyn Davison, then a Zoie Bowman single through the right side in the fifth inning tallied the third and final run of the contest when Foreman crossed the plate.

Addison Sargent earned the win in the circle for the Big Blue, striking out four and allowing just one hit through four innings to move to 7-3 this season. Charly Warlow earned the save, pitching three hitless innings and striking out two.
