Millikin Loses at #8 Aurora

The Millikin baseball team lost to eighth ranked Aurora University 5-2 on April 26 in Aurora, Illinois.
 
Millikin jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI single from Kelby Golladay.
 
The Spartans then scored three in the bottom of the inning with the help of a Millikin error. Dominick Curcio had an RBI single followed by a run scoring double from Collin Meinert. Aurora closed out its scoring with a run scoring single from Nico Bermeo.
 
Golladay drove home Millikin's second run in the fourth on a fielder's choice. Aurora added two insurance runs in the sixth.
 
Millikin was limited to three hits in the game with Tommy Shaw, Kyle Gibson and Golladay picking up hits.
 
Bermeo, Meinert and Jett Wedekind each had two hits for the Spartans.
 
Aurora improve to 27-3 on the season while Millikin goes to 21-14.
 
The Big Blue return to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) action on Saturday, April 29 at Carroll University.
