Academic All-District® Track\Cross Country Teams Released

DECATUR, Illinois—Millikin University had nine student-athletes earn spots on the 2023 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

To be eligible for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3..5 grade point average and be a regular contributor to their team.

Four athletes from the Millikin men's team were honored led by senior jumper Nick Fornoff (Pekin, H.S.) an Exercise Science major. The other three honorees compete in both cross country and track & field including junior Computer Science major Bradyn Olmstead (Bloomington, H.S.), junior Biology major Aiden Schlichting (Freeburg, H.S.) and junior Computer Science major Jake Shumaker (Decatur, Mt. Zion H.S.).

Five athletes from the women's program were honored including throwers junior Mathematics major Analynn Bullock (Kansas City, Mo., Center H.S.) and senior Criminal Justice major Adriyanna Patterson (Georgetown, Georgetown Ridge Farm H.S.). Cross country and track competitors honored include junior Nursing major Quincy Collings (Mattoon, H.S.), sophomore Arts Technology major Elizabeth Hulick (Tolono, Tolono University H.S.) and junior Biology major Alyssa Ruiz (San Diego, Calif., Junipero Serra H.S.).

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late June.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
