Swimming Competes against Illinois Wesleyan, Illinois College

The Big Blue men's and women's swim teams traveled to Bloomington, Ill. on Friday, January 19 to compete against Illinois Wesleyan and Illinois College in a dual meet. The Big Blue women defeated Illinois College 101-80 but fell to the Titans 63-131. On the men's side, they fell to IWU 46-128, then were defeated by the Blueboys 77-86.

In the women's 200 yard medley relay, the team of Analynn Bullock, Kendall Rossignol, Layla Walker, and Aly Barnes placed second in a time of 1:59.26.

Walker placed first in the women's 50 yard freestyle in a time of 25.60, the seventh best time in Millikin history. Barnes picked up an individual victory in the 200 yard IM in a time of 2:19.69.

Dawson Behl finished first in the men's 200 yard IM to complete the event sweep for the Big Blue, posting a time of 2:03.01.

Walker earned her second individual victory of the day in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing in a time of 1:03.58. Msanaa Bosland placed second in the men's race in a time of 56.99.

Barnes recorded her second individual victory in the 100 yard freestyle, completing the race in a time of 56.29.

Bullock posted a third place finish in the 100 yard backstroke in a time of 1:06.63. Behl was the victor in the men's race in a time of 54.59.

Shay Buchanan placed third in the women's 500 yard freestyle, recording a time of 6:01.26.

Bosland was second in the men's 100 yard breaststroke, swimming a time of 1:07.55. Rossignol placed fourth in the women's race.

The Big Blue swim teams will compete in Wheaton, Ill. on Saturday, January 20 in a dual meet against the Thunder.
