Women's Swimming D Galvan- Sport Information Intern

Swimming Travels to Wheaton and Falls to the Thunder

The Big Blue traveled to Wheaton, Illinois to take on Wheaton College on Saturday, January 20th. With both teams traveling, the women fell to the Thunder 47-155 and the men fell 22-145. 

Dawson Behl started off strong for the Big Blue placing second in the men's 200 yard freestyle. Behl earned second with a finals time of 1:49:42. Behl continued the hot streak by placing second in the men's 100 yard butterfly with a finals time of 53.27. 

On the women's side, Layla Walker came out on top in the women's 200 yard IM. Walker's finals time of 2:22.80 earned the first place title. Continuing to dominate, Walker also earned first in the women's 100 yard freestyle with a finals time of 56.13. 

Continuing for the women's side, Grace Meacham placed second in the women's 100 yard freestyle with a finals time of 1:01.35. Aly Barnes earned second in the women's 100 yard backstroke with a finals time of 1:04.11. 

The Big Blue swimming teams are back on the road on January 27th heading to Westmont, Illinois to take on North Central, UIC, IUPUI, Missouri St. and Evansville.
