Millikin Runs in Bradley's Pink Classic

The Millikin men's and women's cross country team took part in the 24th Annual Bradley University "Pink" Classic on October 21 at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Illinois. The event features from 54 teams from all levels of collegiate competition with the field spread between the White Division Open races and Red Division Invite Only races.

Millikin competed in the White Division with over 170 runners in the men's race and 160
competitors in the women's race.

The Big Blue men finished in sixth place in the race coming in as the fastest team for a non-NCAA Division I or II program. Millikin graduate student Bradyn Olmstead finished in 16th place in 25:42.8. Freshman Reece Peters was 30th in 25:57.1, which ranks 13th fastest in school history.

The Millikin women's team finished in 10th place. Freshman Brooklynn Sweikar was the Big Blue's top performer in 52nd in 23:35.7. Teyla Wendt was 70th at 24:07.7 followed by Emma Mallory in 75th in 24:13.6.
