Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Morgan Vogels

Women's Soccer Concludes Regular Season with Win at Wesleyan

The Millikin women's soccer team traveled to Bloomington, Ill. on Wednesday, October 30 for their College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin regular season finale against Illinois Wesleyan. 

The Big Blue fell behind early, with Ellen Dahlquist of the Titans scoring on a goal assisted by Tegan Timerman in the 18th minute. Riley Martinkovic evened the score heading into the halftime break, scoring in the 36th minute after an assist by Addie Gudaitis. 

In the 74th minute, Gudaitis found the back of the net for the game winner on a goal assisted by Mia Brown. 

The Big Blue outshot the Titans by a narrow 23-22 margin with nine shots on goal. Myka Smith tallied six saves in goal. 

Millikin enters the 2024 CCIW Tournament as the #3 seed. They'll play host to sixth-seeded Augustana on Saturday, November 2 with game time scheduled for 2:30 PM at Frank M. Lindsay Field.
