Millikin Football Drops Road Game

The Millikin football team lost to Washington University-St. Louis 70-21 on November 2 in St. Louis.
 
The Bears racked up 769 yards of total offense including 519 yards rushing. Millikin had 324 yards of total offense.
 
Millikin quarterback Aidan Lombardo and wide receive Ezra Burtis connected on two touchdown passes scoring on plays of 36 and three yards. Lombardo was 13-31-1 passing for 221 yards. Lombardo rushed for 75 yards on five carries including a 76 yard run in the first quarter. Burtis has three catches for 114 yards including a long of 55 yards.
 
Omarion Ammons had a 40 yard interception return for Millikin's other touchdown. Ammons forced fumble and recovery led to Millikin's first touchdown setting up the Millikin offense at the Bears 36 yard line. Ixavion Moore led Millikin with 11 tackles followed by Alex Araiza with 10.
 
The Bears had two rushes to gain over 100 yards. Kenneth Hamilton had 155 yards on 13 carries with three touchdowns. Cal Newell had 117 yards rushing on 13 carries with a touchdown. Fred Ware rushed for two touchdowns and 81 yards.
 
WashU quarterback Levi Moore was 11-17-1 passing for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Collin Goldberg had two catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.
 
It was the first game for Millikin under Interim Head Coach Pat Allgeier.
 
Millikin falls to 0-8, 0-7 while the Bears improve to 6-2, 5-2.
