Swimming Hosts Carroll for CCIW Dual Meet

The Big Blue swim teams met their second College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin opponents on Saturday, November 2 at the Decatur Family YMCA in Decatur, Ill. against Carroll University.

Millikin started off with a relay victory in the women's 400 yard medley relay with the team of Anjaleah Knowles, Kendall Rossignol, Aly Barnes, and Erin Powell swimming a 4:27.19. The men's team of Dawsen Loafman, Ridge Batchelor, Gavin Dobson, and Aaron Amaya took second in the men's race in a time of 3:55.89.

Rossignol was the winner of the 200 yard freestyle race in a time of 2:12.68. Gavin Dobson won the men's race in a time of 1:57.11.

Barnes placed second in the 50 yard freestyle, swimming a 26.13. Loafman was second in the men's race, swimming a 23.62.

Msanaa Bosland placed second in the men's 400 yard IM, swimming a 4:48.20. He later won the 200 yard butterfly in 2:24.94.

Barnes was second in the 100 yard freestyle in 57.33, and Amaya placed second in the men's race in 54.03.

Knowles placed second in the women's 200 yard backstroke, swimming a 2:25.69.

Karson Bluette swam the women's 500 yard freestyle, placing second in a time of 5:58.00. Alexander Tabuchi was the winner of the men's race, swimming a 5:54.09.

Rossignol was second in the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:55.09. Batchelor and Jacob Bloom took first and second place, respectively, in the men's race.

The relay team of Bluette, Powell, Grace Meacham, and Knowles placed second in the 400 freestyle placed second in 4:05.44. The men's team of Bosland, Loafman, Dobson, and Amaya placed second in their race in 3:30.32.

The men's team fell 56-124 in the dual, while the women's team lost in a close 76-98 meet.

The Millikin swim team will be back in action at the Decatur Family YMCA on Saturday, November 16 when they meet Monmouth College for a 12:00 PM dual.
