Women’s Basketball Suffers Road Loss

The Millikin women's basketball team lost at Knox College 84-74 on November 26 in Galesburg, Illinois.
 
Millikin showed some improvement on the offensive end of the floor shooting 45 percent (26-62) from the field. The Big Blue fell victim of a blazing hot start by the Prairie Fire. While Millikin started strong making 8-13 (61.5 percent) from the field. Knox went 10-12 (83 percent) from the field in the first quarter including going 3-4 from three point range. Knox led 26-19 after the first quarter. Millikin outscored the Prairie Fire in each of the next two quarters. The Big Blue edge Knox 19-13 in the second quarter and 20-18 in the third quarter. The Big Blue tied the game late in the third quarter and trailed 57-55 after three quarters. The Prairie Fire outscored Millikin 27-19 in the fourth quarter.
 
Emily White and Emily Brenneisen had 16 points each to lead the Big Blue.
White had a team high eight rebounds. Bella Dudley added 13 points and six rebounds and Kyleigh Block had 11 points and seven rebounds.
 
Bria Media had a game high 37 points to lead Knox. Saria Dacio added 16.
