The Millikin women's basketball team lost its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) opener to Wheaton College 67-53 on December 4 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.

Millikin got off to a strong start and led after the first quarter 13-10. The Big Blue went cold in the second quarter making only four baskets and were trailing 26-21 at halftime. Wheaton led by as many as 14 points in the third quarter and led 47-38 after three quarters.

Millikin opened the fourth quarter with a 7-0 run to pull to 47-45 with seven minutes left in the game.
