Millikin Track Competes at IWU

The Millikin men's and women's Indoor track and field team competed at the Illinois Wesleyan University Tri-Meet on February 16 at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Illinois. In addition to the Big Blue and the Titans, the event included athletes from Heartland Community College. No team scores were kept in the event.

Millikin sophomore Emmett Emmons was a double event winner in the men's competition winning the 400 Meters in 51.46 seconds and the 200 Meters in 22.83. seconds.

Big Blue freshman Nolan Bates won the 600 Meters in 1:22.74, which is the second fastest time in the event in Millikin history.

Colin Griffin won the 60 Meters in 7.04 seconds.

Reece Butcher won the 800 Meters in 1:59.57.

Thomas Hills won the Long Jump at 6.98 meters (22-10.75).

Kyle Hensley won the Pole Vault in 4.80 meters.

Millikin winners in the women's competition included Jazzalynne Hicks in the Weight Throw with a school record throw of 18.40 meters (60-4.50).

Alexis Wike won the High Jump at 1.58 meters (5-2.25), which ties Millikin's number two all-time jump.

Alyssa Ruiz won the 800 Meters in 2:18.30.

Hailey Newill won the Pole Vault with a vault of 3.45 meters (11-3.75).

Katie Janvrin won the Long Jump at 5.18 meters (17-00.00).

Itzel Garcia won the 200 Meters in 26.61 seconds.
