Big Blue Baseball Falls in Slugfest

The Millikin baseball team lost to sixth ranked the University of Lynchburg 10-9 at the BSC Spring Classic at Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama on Feb. 18.
 
Millikin led 3-1 after three innings before the Hornets scored three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth. Millikin pulled to within 6-5 in the bottom of the fifth. Lynchburg went up 9-5 in the seventh before Millikin rallied for fourth runs in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. The Hornets scored the game winning run in the eighth.
 
Tommy Shaw led the Millikin attack going 3-6 with a double and three RBI.
Liam McGill had two hits including a triple. Tyler Gade was 2-3 with two RBI.
 
Brandon Garcia had two hits and four RBI for Lynchburg. Riley O'Donovan had two hits and two RBI.
