Softball's Charly Warlow Honored as CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week

NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selected McKensey Stontz of Augustana and Charly Warlow of Millikin as Student-Athletes of the Week in softball on Monday.

Hitter: McKensey Stontz, Augustana
Stontz homered three times in four games last week as the Vikings split the four contests on their trip to Tennessee.

The freshman from Kewanee, Ill. had five hits (5-for-10) and six runs scored during the week. She had a career-best four RBI in Wednesday's 15-3 triumph at Sewanee as part of a 2-for-3 performance with a home run. In game two against Sewanee, Stontz had two more hits, including her second career double.

Pitcher: Charly Warlow, Millikin
Warlow won her ninth game of the season and 16th of her career on Friday in the Big Blue's 3-0 shutout of Illinois College in Decatur.

The Le Roy, Ill. native went the full 7.0 innings for the fifth time this spring, striking out five and limiting the Lady Blues to just three hits. The performance lowered her 2024 earned-run average to 3.16.
