Millikin Dominates Doubleheader at Carroll

The Millikin baseball team won a doubleheader at Carroll University in dominating fashion on April 20 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Millikin won the first game 13-1 in seven inning and took the second game 12-0.
 
Millikin pounded out 13 runs and 15 hits in game one. Tyler Gade had three hits and one RBI to lead the Big Blue attack. Sam Bushur, Hayden Stork, Liam McGill and Andy Neibrugge each had two hits including a double. Neibrugge had four RBI with Bushur and Stork collecting two runs batted in.
 
Caleb Buehrle was the game one winning improving to 7-2 on the season.
Buehrle pitched all seven innings allowing four hits and one earned run with eight strikeouts.
 
The Big Blue offensive explosion continued in game two scoring 12 runs and collecting 17 hits. Busher led the attack with three doubles and three RBI. Kyle Gibson went 3-4 including a home run with four runs scored and two RBI. Stork went 3-3 with a walk. Ryan Janssen had two hits with two RBI and two runs scored. Neibrugge and McGill each had two hits.
 
Drew Detmers was the winning pitcher for Millikin throwing eight shutout innings allowing only four hits. Alec Mallinder pitched a scoreless ninth.
 
Millikin improves to 19-12, 9-3 while the Pioneers fall to 12-16, 6-6.
