Millikin Softball Advances to CCIW Tournament Title Game

Box Score The Millikin softball team advanced to the title game of the 2024 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Softball Tournament by defeating Augustana College 4-3 on May 10 at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington.

The Big Blue will face the top seeded Titans needing to win twice to claim the tournament title.

Nadia Ranieri leadoff the game with a home run to give Augustana a 1-0 lead.

Millikin tied the game in a second on a home run to left by Maddy Regan.
The Big Blue would add two more in the inning on an RBI double from Lanie Chizmark and a run scoring single from Anna Enlow to make 3-1.

Millikin freshman Ava Zukowski had an RBI single in the third to make it a 4-1 lead.

Ranieri hit her second home run of the game in the fourth. The two-run blast cut the Big Blue lead to 4-3.

Kelsy Bruno was the winning pitcher for Millikin with Charly Warlow picking up the save.

Millikin is now 24-16 on the season.
